journaling: Daddy died right before Thanksgiving 1997. We knew the holidays were going to be tough. We struggled through. Christmas came and there were lots of tears, but none came as hard as the ones that I shed when I opened my last gift from Daddy. Mommy said that they were at a “crap show” (he loved to call them that) and he noticed it and wanted to buy me an angel to watch over me after he was gone. So... now I have two.
